What You Get
Our basic lesson packages will provide you with a beautiful dance choreographed to a song of your choice. We usually recommend Romantic Two Step for your dance. It is simple enough to learn in just a few weeks, but yet is elegant and very expressive. However, if you have another preference, we are happy to follow your lead. Others couples have chosen to dance the waltz, foxtrot, and even the sensuous Argentine Tango.
When to Get Started
When should you start lessons? As soon as possible. Remember that as the big day approaches, you are going to have more and more things to take care of. Don’t add to the stress by learning to dance at the last moment. We suggest starting at least a couple of months before your wedding day.
Don’t have much time? Don’t worry. Your wedding dance need not take a full 2 months to learn. In fact, you can learn it in as little as three lessons, but the sooner your start, the more you can learn, and the more you learn, the more you will impress your guests – AND YOURSELVES!
Added Benefit
As an added benefit, you will actually learn to dance and may just find a new enjoyable hobby for you and your new spouse to do together. Many of our wedding couples keep on coming back for more and say it was one of the best things they ever did for their partnership.

Entertainment
Looking for entertainment for your wedding? The Palomar Ballroom’s professional instructors can perform a romantic Bolero, hot Cha Cha, sizzling Mambo, or lively Swing to entertain your guests. In addition, you can also hire one of our staff to come and teach a dance lesson at your reception. It’s a fun and easy way to get your shy guests up out of their seats and onto the dance floor.
Reception Hall
Are you looking for a special place for your reception? The Palomar Ballroom Santa Cruz is an absolutely beautiful venue with its Old World charm and Spanish style architecture. Please come by for a visit and be prepared to be impressed. It’s perfect for smaller gatherings of less than 150 people. Sorry, due to nearby residents, live music is not allowed, but DJ’s are fine.
